Facilitating and Speaking
Facilitation provides an independent third party to help achieve your objectives in a workshop or meeting. An independent facilitator can help provide a safe environment as well as a constructive challenge. To achieve a productive event we would jointly define the desired outcomes and then plan the event to maximise these outcomes.
Topics that I have facilitated included strategy planning, reaching consensus on critical and contentious decision making, cost recovery strategies, process improvement and cultural change. These groups have ranged from 5-50 participants.
Sharing knowledge and experiences in change and project management in the non-profit sector helps to encourage learning, growth and discussion. I have spoken at several conferences and also delivered tailored training for smaller groups. These sessions often cover a combination of theory and personal experiences, and can include opportunities for discussion with delegates about their experiences of change projects to support shared learning.
