I have over 20 years experience in the non-profit sector delivering a huge range of change projects. These change projects have involved systems, process and culture change and I have worked with organisations, both global and UK focused. I have led directly on large organisational wide change programmes, as well as advising organisations on change, and providing coaching for those managing change.
I’m driven by applying project and change management principles to the charity sector, and I have a Management degree, Masters in International Development and I am a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner. These practices can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your change project and can therefore increase the success of this change and consequently the impact of your strategy and your charity. I enjoy working collaboratively with dedicated and passionate employees where we can mutually learn to deliver your strategy.
Testimonials
'Andy played a key advisory and coaching role in the restructure of BBC Media Action’s Finance and IT departments. Coming up with a new structure is the easy part, taking staff along the change curve is tricky; and that’s where Andy helped make a difference. He facilitated workshops, advised on new job descriptions and provided group and 1:1 coaching to new leaders. He has helped managers promoted internally think through the challenges of moving to their first ‘head of’ role and setting up new teams. Thanks to Andy’s coaching, I felt that new leaders grew in confidence, stamina and clarity of purpose. These leaders are now carving their own path thanks to Andy’s coaching and have fed back they found his input extremely valuable.'
Nicola Dodero, Director of Finance at ARTICLE 19
'Andy was appointed to lead on establishing ARTICLE 19’s cost recovery programme to improve our financial sustainability and better understand our business model.
From the moment he started the work, I knew we were in safe hands! He brought a wealth of knowledge and best practice, while also still being very open to our context to make sure the final product fit our needs. His strong project management skills meant he didn’t allow the project to get off track while also adapting the approach when needed.
The biggest strength that Andy brought to the project is the ability to engage with a wide group of stakeholders, make the approach understandable, listen to their concerns and address them. This investment has been so useful when launching our cost recovery programme as colleagues were familiar with the recommendations and approach.
I would recommend Andy to anyone looking for a top rate project manager who can make change happen to make a tangible impact to your organisation.'
'Andy is an excellent project manager whose contribution to major projects at WaterAid has been fundamental to their success. Andy works very hard to be inclusive and his listening skills are some of the most advanced I have come across. I can honestly say I have been privileged to lead Andy, in fact he has led me and I have learnt much from him. I am confident that any organisation that contracts Andy would find he exceeds their already high expectations.'
